Role Purpose
The Assistant Manager – Process is responsible for supporting reliable, high‑yield operation of the TOPCon solar cell manufacturing line. The role focuses on process control, yield improvement, efficiency enhancement, and daily production support, working closely with Production, Equipment, Quality, and R&D; teams to meet plant performance targets.

Key Responsibilities
1. Process Ownership & Control

Support end‑to‑end TOPCon process steps including:

Texturing & Saw Damage Removal
Boron Diffusion / PSG Removal
Tunnel Oxide & Poly‑Si Deposition (LPCVD / PECVD)
Rear/Front Passivation (PECVD)
Metallization (screen printing / firing)
Laser patterning & edge isolation

Monitor and control cell efficiency, yield, scrap, OEE, and throughput.
Ensure adherence to defined process windows using SPC and control charts.

2. Production & Yield Support





Provide shop‑floor process support during all shifts.
Troubleshoot:

Efficiency loss (Voc, Jsc, FF degradation)
TOPCon‑specific defects (poly‑Si non‑uniformity, tunneling failures, contact resistance)
Wafer breakage, printing defects, firing issues

Work closely with Production and Equipment teams to minimize downtime and stabilize processes.

3. Quality & Documentation

Monitor inline and offline quality metrics:

EL imaging, IV curves, Rs/Rsh trends
Yield maps and defect pareto analysis

Support maintenance of:

SOPs, WIs, Control Plans, PFMEA

Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and EHS standards.

4. Continuous Improvement

Drive and support yield & efficiency improvement projects (ppm reduction, bin upgrade).
Participate in DOE, RCA, 8D, and FMEA activities.
Identify opportunities for:

Consumable cost reduction
Energy optimization
Automation and digital process monitoring
