Roles and Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL programming language.

- Create and execute JCL jobs to process data on IBM System z/OS platforms.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and implement solutions.

- Troubleshoot issues related to CICS transactions, VSAM datasets, IMS databases, and other mainframe systems.

- Ensure high-quality deliverables by adhering to coding standards and best practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

- 4-6 years of experience in developing mainframe applications using COBOL programming language.

- Robust understanding of JCL (Job Control Language) concepts for job scheduling and execution on IBM System z/OS platforms.

- Proficiency in working with various mainframe technologies such as CICS (Customer Information Centered Services), VSAM (Virtual Storage Access Method), IMS (Information Management System).

- Experience with database management systems like DB2/IMS DB2.
