Roles and Responsibilities
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for executing end-to-end payroll operations for assigned APAC countries, ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. This role works closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional global teams to support efficient payroll delivery, Time & attendance processes across APAC .
- Execute end-to-end payroll processing for APAC countries (e.g., Australia, India, Singapore, etc.)
- Ensure payroll is processed accurately and timely, adhering to local statutory and compliance requirements
- Manage and validate time & attendance (T&A;) data and ensure proper integration with payroll systems
- Collaborating with cross-functional global teams including HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors
- Support payroll audits, statutory filings, and compliance requirements across APAC
- Maintain payroll data integrity and ensure compliance with data privacy and retention standards
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for payroll processes and systems (e.g., SAP/GlobalView, ADP)
- Support issue resolution, investigation, and root cause analysis for payroll discrepancies
- Monitor and support KPIs/metrics related to payroll service delivery
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and process standardization
- Stay current with APAC payroll legislation and regulatory requirements
- Support vendor coordination to ensure service delivery alignment
Education
- Bachelors degree required
- Payroll certification (India payroll certification preferred/required)
- 58 years of payroll experience in a multinational or shared services environment
- Experience with SAP/GlobalView or similar payroll platforms preferred
- Strong knowledge of APAC payroll (Australia, India, Singapore, etc.)
- Language standard: Advanced English (spoken and written)
Experience
- Hands-on experience in end-to-end payroll processing
- Strong knowledge of time & attendance systems and payroll integration
- Experience working in a global, cross-functional environment
- Familiarity with third-party payroll vendors (e.g., ADP)
- Strong understanding of statutory compliance and payroll regulations
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure during payroll cycles
- Solid communication and stakeholder management skills
