Computer Teacher – Roles & Responsibilities

- Teach computer science and IT subjects according to the prescribed curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans and deliver engaging classroom sessions.
- Train students in basic and advanced computer skills.
- Teach software applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Paint, and Internet usage.
- Introduce programming languages such as Scratch, Python, HTML, CSS, Java, or C/C++ (based on grade level).
- Conduct practical lab sessions and ensure students gain hands-on experience.
- Evaluate students through assignments, projects, practical exams, and assessments.
- Maintain student attendance, performance records, and progress reports.
- Encourage problem-solving, logical thinking, and digital literacy among students.
- Assist students in completing computer-based projects and presentations.
- Ensure proper maintenance and discipline in the computer laboratory.




- Report hardware or software issues to the IT support team and coordinate for timely resolution.
- Install and update educational software required for classroom activities (if applicable).
- Guide students on cyber safety, responsible internet usage, and digital ethics.
- Organize computer-related competitions, coding clubs, exhibitions, and technology events.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, and school development activities.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and up-to-date teaching methodologies.
- Support the school in implementing digital learning tools and smart classroom technologies.
- Prepare examination papers, practical tests, and grading as per school guidelines.
- Ensure all computer systems and peripherals are used safely and responsibly.
