Vedicfolks is looking for a hands-on Business Operations Manager to strengthen daily execution, people management and accountability across our growing organisation.
This is not a routine HR or administrative role.
You will work directly with the Founder and coordinate across Sales/CRM, Marketing, Ritual Operations and Technology teams.
Your primary responsibility is to ensure:
People are accountable. Commitments are completed. Problems are resolved. Operations run without continuous Founder intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day people and operational issues across teams.
- Handle employee performance, discipline, conflicts and accountability issues.
- Conduct difficult but professional conversations when performance falls below expectations.
- Track weekly commitments, owners and deadlines.
- Follow up with department managers until actions are closed.
- Coordinate issues involving multiple departments.
- Run weekly management and KPI review meetings.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and resolve them.
- Ensure important SOPs and processes are followed.
- Coordinate hiring, onboarding, probation and performance reviews.
- Maintain clear documentation for employee performance issues.
- Escalate only important strategic or serious people matters to the Founder.
- Provide the Founder with a concise weekly update covering priorities, delays, people issues and decisions required.
Who We Are Looking For
6–10 years of relevant experience in business operations, people operations, service operations, program management or similar roles.
You should have:
- Strong people-management experience.
- Excellent follow-up and execution discipline.
- Experience managing teams and managers.
- Ability to resolve employee conflicts independently.
- Confidence handling underperformance.
- Strong communication skills.
- Working knowledge of KPIs, Excel/Google Sheets and management reporting.
- Ability to create and enforce simple processes and SOPs.
- High integrity and discretion.
- A solid ownership mindset.
Experience in a service business, startup, hospitality, healthcare/wellness, D2C or other people-intensive organisation is preferred.
Most Important Quality: We want someone who does not simply identify or report problems.
We want someone who takes ownership and gets them resolved.
If an employee issue, missed commitment or cross-functional problem arises, your first instinct should be:
“How do I solve this?”
—not—
“How do I escalate this to the Founder?”
Success in This Role Within 3–6 months:
- Routine employee problems should be resolved without Founder involvement.
- Department managers should demonstrate stronger accountability.
- Weekly commitments should be tracked and closed.
- Cross-functional issues should be resolved faster.
- Management meetings should become shorter and outcome-driven.
- The Founder should spend significantly less time on daily people and operational management.
