Hiring Lead DevOps Engineer for a Reputed/MNC company located at Chandigarh

Requirements

Seeking a skilled Lead DevOps Engineer to join our client (US MNC) Enterprise Engineering team! In this role, you will design, build, and operate scalable infrastructure and DevOps platforms across on-premise and cloud environments (AWS/GCP), while driving automation, reliability, and security across the organization.

What You’ll Do:

- Design, implement, and support infrastructure solutions across On-Premise and IaaS platforms (AWS/GCP).
- Collaborate with leadership, engineering, security, and systems teams to scope and deliver secure, scalable infrastructure solutions.
- Design and integrate solutions with Identity and Access Management systems, including Active Directory and modern authentication protocols.
- Participate in system remediation efforts, regular patching, and ongoing infrastructure maintenance.
- Partner with security teams to conduct architecture reviews and implement system hardening best practices.
- Build and enhance automation using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Packer) across Windows and Linux environments.
- Design and operate Kubernetes and container-based platforms to support microservices and application workloads.
- Improve monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability capabilities across infrastructure and applications.
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, artifact management, source control integrations, and automated validation workflows.
- Support highly available and scalable DevOps tooling platforms used across engineering teams.
- Develop and deploy solutions using both microservices and monolithic architectures.
- Leverage commercial and open-source tools to drive operational efficiency while optimizing cloud and infrastructure spend.
- Create clear, well-documented services, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.
- Communicate timelines, risks,



dependencies, and progress effectively to stakeholders.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support production systems.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container technologies in production environments.
- Strong understanding of core infrastructure concepts including load balancing, auto-scaling, replication, networking, encryption, and authentication protocols.
- Experience building and operating services in AWS and/or GCP, as well as supporting on-premise virtual/physical infrastructure.
- Experience managing VMware environments and Windows Active Directory ecosystems.
- Strong background in Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible, Packer).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, automated testing, build and deployment processes, and production monitoring.
- Working knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL (managed or self-hosted).
- Experience designing and deploying AI-driven platforms, including RAG-based pipelines and tool integrations (preferred).
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Bash, Python, or Golang.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced setting, prioritize effectively, and work independently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Collaborative team player who proactively identifies opportunities for improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:

- BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Infrastructure Engineer supporting enterprise environments.
- Experience supporting production systems with participation in on-call rotations.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments (AWS/GCP + On-Prem).
- Experience with enterprise identity integrations and secure authentication frameworks.
