Job Description: Job Description - Chemist (SID/Raw Material):

- Chemical Analysis: Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of raw materials (Iron Ore, Coal, Dolomite) and molten metals to ensure compliance.
- Instrument Operations: Operate and calibrate XRF spectrometers, Carbon & Sulfur analyzers (e.g., Leco), and Proximate Analyzers.
- Wet Chemical Methods: Conduct wet chemical analysis of sponge iron, pig iron, and slag.
- Physical Testing: Perform sieve analysis, tumbler index, RI, RDI, and shatter tests.
- Reporting: Document and report test results to the production and quality teams.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain lab safety standards and proper handling of reagents.

Requirements:

- Education: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemistry.
- Experience: 5–8 years in a laboratory setting, preferably in a steel, metal, or iron industry.
- Skills: Expertise in wet chemistry techniques and analytical equipment, along with robust analytical skills.
