Role Description The Reporter is a full time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for covering stories, initiatives, and community impacts related to aging and social innovation. Day-to-day tasks include identifying newsworthy topics, conducting interviews with stakeholders and community members, attending events and meetings, and gathering information from multiple sources. The Reporter will write transparent, accurate, and engaging articles, features, and reports for digital and print platforms, ensuring content aligns with the Center’s mission and communication guidelines.

The role involves working closely with faculty, staff, and partners to translate research and program outcomes into accessible stories, as well as coordinating with editors and communications staff to meet deadlines. The Reporter will also fact-check content, maintain organized notes and records, and contribute ideas for ongoing coverage and special projects.

Qualifications
Demonstrated ability in news reporting, including interviewing, information gathering, and story development.
Solid writing and editing skills,



with the ability to produce clear, concise, and engaging content for diverse audiences.
Capacity to translate complex social work and research topics into accessible, human-centered stories.
Attention to detail in fact-checking, source verification, and maintaining ethical reporting standards.
Proficiency with digital tools for writing, research, and content management; familiarity with online publishing platforms is beneficial.
Ability to work in office in Bengaluru, collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, and manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Social Work, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Interest in aging, social justice, community development, or public policy is highly desirable.
Solid interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory, and respectful coverage of all communities.
