Firmware Engineer / Embedded Systems Engineer – Medical Devices
INDQ is looking for a Firmware / Embedded Systems Engineer to develop reliable, production-ready firmware for medical devices and advanced engineering products.
The ideal candidate should have solid hands-on experience with ESP32, STM32, Nordic Semiconductor platforms, sensor interfacing, communication protocols, real-time embedded systems, and signal processing. The role will involve working closely with hardware, biomedical, mechanical, and product-development teams to convert device requirements into robust embedded solutions.
The candidate should be comfortable working from the sensor level to the complete device level — including peripheral interfacing, communication, data acquisition, signal processing, control algorithms, debugging, validation, and firmware documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Develop embedded firmware for ESP32, STM32, Nordic nRF52/nRF53/nRF54 and similar microcontrollers.
Develop firmware for medical and healthcare devices involving sensors, actuators, displays, communication modules,
and data acquisition systems.
Interface and acquire data from various sensors such as:
ECG / biopotential sensors
PPG / SpO₂ sensors
Temperature sensors
Pressure sensors
IMUs
Load cells
Optical sensors
Analog front ends (AFEs)
Other biomedical and industrial sensors
Implement signal conditioning and digital signal-processing algorithms for noisy physiological and sensor data.
Develop algorithms for filtering, noise reduction, feature extraction, signal quality assessment, and parameter estimation.
Work with ADCs, DACs, timers, PWM, interrupts, DMA, GPIO, RTC, watchdogs, and low-power peripherals.
Develop and debug communication interfaces including: UART, SPI, I²C, RS-232 / RS-485, CAN / CAN-FD, USB, BLE, Wi-Fi, Ethernet
Develop BLE applications and profiles using Nordic/Zephyr or equivalent platforms.
