JOB DESCRIPTION – MANAGER – SCRAP PURCHASE

Job Purpose

Responsible for end-to-end scrap purchasing, including supplier development, market sourcing, price negotiation, quality control, logistics, and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage a solid scrap supplier network.
Source ferrous and non-ferrous scrap at competitive prices.
Monitor scrap market prices and industry trends.
Negotiate purchase rates and commercial terms.
Ensure proper quality, grading, weighment, and documentation.
Coordinate scrap collection, transportation, and delivery.
Develop current suppliers and sourcing locations.
Control procurement costs and optimize landed cost.
Maintain supplier relationships and resolve commercial issues.




Lead the scrap purchase team and achieve procurement targets.

Qualification & Experience
Graduate in Commerce, Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
8–12 years’ experience in scrap purchase/procurement.
Experience in Steel/TMT, Recycling, Metal Trading, or Manufacturing preferred.
