Testing Engineer Power System Protection

Role Overview
Test Engineer (Protection System) will be responsible for testing of Control and Relay panels used for various voltage levels in India and abroad for different applications. The incumbent will be responsible for different project phases like understanding client requirement, project specific documents, configuration of numerical relays, testing, and customer inspection (FAT) in factory. Support to Project Management / Engineering / Commissioning team for smooth execution of the project.
Key Technical Knowledge & Experience
Knowledge & understanding on wiring schematic drawings
Understanding of Power System Protection philosophy & applications
Hands-on experience in configuration of Numerical IEDs (Siemens, ABB, GE, Schneider)
Hands-on experience on test kits – OMICRON, DOBLE, Megger
Experience in integration of Numerical IEDs with Substation Automation System (SAS)
Understanding of client requirements / technical specifications
Substation Automation & Digital Technologies
Basic knowledge of Substation Automation & Communication Protocols:
SNMP, SNTP, Modbus
IEC 60870-5-103
IEC 61850
IEC 60870-5-101
IEC 60870-5-104
Basic concepts of Digital Substation
Testing & Customer Interaction
Capability to handle Customer FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) independently
Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
Tools & Professional Skills
Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint
