Responsibilities
Our Open-Source Software group is enabling new Arm architecture in projects such as kernel, firmware, system control and driver development, for a variety of target sectors. Software on Arm must be fast, efficient, and secure, and support the very latest Arm architectural features and standards. We're looking for software engineers with experience of writing low-level C code, standards-based firmware, and operating system design who enjoy working as part of the wider open-source community.
Your Day-to-day Responsibilities Include
Being a member of the core arm64 Linux Kernel team responsible for maintaining the upstream Linux port and our internal codelines headed for upstream
Integrate various current features developed by core arm64 Linux Kernel team to internal code lines and maintain them for internal and external use
Work to maintain and improve the quality of the Linux kernel, KVM on arm64, monitoring and improving test systems
Develop tests to validate features and improve CI coverage
Upstream new tests and fixes
Investigate test failures reported externally and internally
Work closely with recent hardware platform bring up teams, debugging issues and supporting Linux kernel, KVM changes
Follow and support KernelCI community and linux-next maintenance needs
Required Skills and Experience :
Minimum 12+ years of relevant experience.
Proficient C programmer
Desire and ability to work as part of a team
Credible experience maintaining internal Linux codelines
