POSITION : CONSULTANT
REPORTING TO : MEDICAL DIRECTOR/ CEO
QUALIFICATION : MCH/DNB
DUTY HOURS : AS PER SCHEDULED REQUIREMENTS

JOB DESCRIPTION
Minimum 3–5 years of post-MCh/DNB Urology experience; preference for candidates with 5–8 years of independent practice.
Should be capable of independently performing endourology procedures such as URS, PCNL, HOLEP/MILEP, and DJ stenting.
Must be comfortable handling basic and intermediate laparoscopic urological surgeries and emergency urology cases.

Key areas of responsibility:
To provide expert consultation and manage all patients related to Urological disorders.
Diagnose, treat, and help prevent benign and malignant medical and surgical disorders of the urogenital system.




Should be willing to work in a multi disciplinary team.
Understand responsibility pertaining to hospital codes.
Must be familiar with NABH standards, protocols and documentation process.
Examine patients using equipment, such as radiograph (x-ray) machines and fluoroscopes, to determine the nature and extent of disorder or injury.
Treat urologic disorders using alternatives to traditional surgery.
Direct the work of nurses, residents, or other staff to provide patient care and be a partner in their ongoing training.
Provide urology consultation to physicians or other health care specialists.
Document or review patients' histories.
Diagnose or treat diseases or disorder of genitourinary organs and tracts including erectile dysfunction.
Observing and monitoring patients during surgery.
Resuscitating and stabilizing patients in the emergency department
To be available for emergency calls of the O.T. & the Emergency Department.
