Role Purpose
Responsible for preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment used in membrane casting, coating, drying/curing and RO membrane element manufacturing.
The primary objective is to maintain high equipment reliability, mechanical precision and production uptime while preventing mechanical issues that can affect membrane quality.
Key Responsibilities
Preventive Maintenance
Carry out preventive maintenance according to established schedules.
Inspect and maintain rollers, bearings, shafts, gearboxes, couplings, chains, belts, pumps and mechanical drives.
Perform lubrication and replacement of wear components.
Monitor abnormal vibration, noise, temperature and mechanical wear.
Maintain detailed preventive-maintenance records.
Casting & Coating Equipment
Maintain critical mechanical systems including:
Precision rollers
Roller bearings
Web-guiding systems
Web-tension mechanisms
Coating/casting heads
Doctor blades and associated assemblies
Pumps and dosing systems
Mechanical seals
Pneumatic cylinders
Valves
Drying/curing equipment
Exhaust and ventilation equipment
Ensure correct mechanical alignment and smooth operation of continuous web-processing equipment.
RO Element Rolling Equipment
Maintain and troubleshoot:
Rolling mechanisms
Membrane/spacer feeding systems
Central-tube fixtures
Pneumatic cylinders
Cutting mechanisms
Glue dispensing mechanisms
Conveyors and material-handling systems
FRP winding/support equipment where applicable
Breakdown Maintenance
Attend mechanical breakdowns immediately and restore equipment safely.
Identify the root cause of mechanical failures rather than performing only temporary repairs.
Conduct alignment, bearing replacement, seal replacement and mechanical adjustment.
Work jointly with the Electrical & Automation Engineer where faults involve both mechanical and control systems.
