Key Responsibilities:
Create and maintain Item Definition including boundaries, interfaces, operating modes, assumptions and dependencies.
Perform HARA (hazard identification, hazardous events, ASIL assignment) and derive Safety Goals and functional safety requirements.
Develop Functional Safety Concept (FSC) and support Technical Safety Concept (TSC) decomposition into system/HW/SW safety requirements.
Conduct FMEA, FTA and DFA.
Plan and coordinate functional safety verification & validation across SIL/HIL/Vehicle and ensure traceability.
Support safety case creation and evidence for milestones/release gates.
Interface with suppliers; review Safety Manuals, FMEDAs, diagnostic coverage claims and DIA alignment.
