Job Description Specialist, Application Support

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Application Support Specialist to join our Application Support team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing production support, incident management, problem resolution, performance monitoring, and operational excellence for business-critical applications.

The role requires robust troubleshooting skills across application, infrastructure, database, and cloud settings. Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is highly desirable, while exposure to Microsoft Azure will be considered an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities
Provide L1/L2/L3 application support for mission-critical business applications.
Monitor application health, performance, and availability using enterprise monitoring tools.
Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents within agreed SLAs.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
Collaborate with development, infrastructure, database, and cloud teams to resolve complex technical issues.




Support application deployments, configuration changes, and release activities.
Maintain operational documentation, knowledge articles, and support runbooks.
Participate in on-call support and major incident management processes.
Monitor logs and identify trends to proactively address potential issues.
Manage service requests, incidents, and problem tickets using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
Ensure compliance with operational standards, security policies, and change management processes.
Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance support efficiency.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
3 – 5 years of experience in Application Production Support or Application Operations.
Robust understanding of Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management processes.
