Position Summary

The Head – Purchase & Procurement shall be responsible for end-to-end procurement strategy, sourcing, negotiation, contract finalization, vendor management, and material planning for all civil & infrastructure projects of the company including roads, highways, marine works, piling, structures, RMC and EPC projects.

This role is critical for controlling project cost, cash flow, timelines, and profitability through solid commercial leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Procurement Leadership
Develop and implement company-wide procurement strategy aligned with project budgets and execution plans.
Lead procurement for high-value materials & services including:
Cement, steel, aggregates, bitumen, pipes, geotextiles, chemicals
Heavy machinery, shuttering, formwork,



marine equipment
Sub-contracts, transport, fabrication & specialized vendors- Establish rate contracts, long-term supply agreements, and framework contracts.

Project & Site Support
Coordinate closely with Planning, Projects, Stores, Finance and Contracts teams.
Prepare project-wise material budgets, BOQ linking, and procurement schedules.
Ensure just-in-time material availability at all sites.

Commercial & Cost Control
Lead price negotiation, cost optimization & value engineering.
Track market trends, price fluctuations & vendor risks.
Ensure maximum cost savings without compromising quality & timelines.

Vendor Development & Management
Build and maintain a solid network of approved vendors, manufacturers, transporters & subcontractors.
Conduct vendor evaluation, performance reviews & compliance audits.
Resolve disputes, claims and delivery issues proactively.
