Job Description: Finance Controller (UK & Dubai Client Engagement)

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Controller to manage day-to-day finance and accounting operations for a client engagement covering the United Kingdom and Dubai, while based out of our India office. This is a dedicated project role: the primary focus will be a single client group whose operations span the UK and the UAE. The ideal candidate has a robust understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and UK and UAE statutory compliance, with the ability to ensure accuracy and efficiency across financial processes and work effectively with client stakeholders in both jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
Prepare and finalise monthly, quarterly,



and annual financial statements (P&L;, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
Ensure timely and accurate book-closing activities
Monitor budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
Handle statutory compliance across both jurisdictions, including UK VAT returns, HMRC filings and Companies House requirements, and UAE VAT / corporate tax filings with the Federal Tax Authority, alongside other applicable regulatory submissions
Coordinate with the client’s internal and external auditors in the UK and Dubai for audit completion
Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and inter-company transactions across currencies (GBP, AED, INR), where required
Maintain proper documentation and internal controls over financial transactions
Assist in cash flow management and working capital monitoring across the client’s UK and Dubai operations
Liaise with banks, vendors, HMRC, the UAE Federal Tax Authority, free zone authorities and other stakeho
