Key roles and responsibilities
Take complete ownership of the project once the drawing is issued.
Review drawings and conduct manufacturing feasibility analysis.
Develop the complete manufacturing process and process plan.
Identify and develop suitable vendors for raw material, tooling, special processes, and subcontract operations.
Coordinate procurement of tools, fixtures, gauges, and other project requirements.
Plan and monitor all development activities as per the project timeline.
Conduct trials, prove out the manufacturing process, and resolve technical issues.
Coordinate with Production and Quality for inspection and validation of the developed part.
Optimize the process for quality, cycle time, cost, and productivity before regular production.
Successfully hand over the proven and approved process, along with all documentation, to the Production team.
