About the Role

Auxein Medical is looking for a skilled and motivated
Mid-Level Design Engineer
to join our product development team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, improving, and documenting
medical devices and surgical/orthopedic instruments
, with a robust focus on precision, manufacturability, quality, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop
surgical instruments, orthopedic instruments, and medical devices
using 3D CAD software.
Create detailed
3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, assemblies, and BOMs
.
Develop designs considering
DFM/DFA, tolerances, ergonomics, functionality, and manufacturability
.
Work closely with manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and R&D; teams for product development and improvements.




Review and optimize existing instrument designs for
performance, usability, cost, and manufacturability
.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, drawings, and design records.
Support prototype development, testing, validation, and design verification activities.
Understand and apply
medical-grade materials
, including SS 316L, titanium, and other suitable materials.
Coordinate with vendors for
CNC machining, forging, finishing, and other manufacturing processes
.
Ensure designs comply with applicable
medical-device quality requirements and design controls
.
Contribute to cutting-edge product concepts and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications
B.Tech / Diploma in
Mechanical Engineering
or equivalent.
3–6 years of experience
in medical device, surgical instrument, orthopedic instrument, or precision engineering design.
Robust proficiency in
SolidWorks
or eq
