Industry: Passive infrastructure primarily relates to the physical non-electronic components of a network, such as cabling, racks, enclosures, and fiber optics.

Role Summary: The IT Technician - Passive is responsible for the installation, termination, testing, and maintenance of all non-active (passive) components of the IT network and data center infrastructure, ensuring optimal physical layer performance,



adherence to industry standards, and high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities
Install, route, terminate, and test various types of network cabling, including copper (CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A) and fiber optic cables, according to industry standards (e.g., TIA/EIA).
Perform meticulous installation of cable trays, raceways, conduits, and other cable management systems.
Install, dress, and label patch panels, distribution frames, and telecommunications enclosures (TEs).
Assemble, install, and ground server racks, cabinets, and enclosures within data centers and communication rooms.
Assist with the physical setup and decommissioning of passive equipment during infrastructure upgrades or migrations.
Ensure all installations comply with safety regulations, fire codes, and data center best practices.
Execute skilled testing and certification of all installed cabling infrastructure (copper
