Missions/Main Duties
As an Setting Planner/Expert, your responsibilities will include:
Developing strategies for sustainable urban growth with minimal environmental impact.
Planning green corridors, parks, and biodiversity conservation areas to improve urban resilience.
Promoting nature-based solutions such as urban forests, wetlands restoration, and green roofs.




Assessing climate risks like flooding, heatwaves, and air pollution, and integrating adaptation measures.
Designing flood management strategies , including stormwater drainage and flood-resistant infrastructure.
Conducting Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for proposed infrastructure and development projects.
Ensuring compliance with national and international environmental regulations .
Developing strategies for pollution control , including air, water, and soil quality management.
Planning for sustainable water management , including rainwater harvesting, wastewater treatment, and groundwater recharge.
Designing waste reduction and recycling strategies to achieve a circular economy.
Promoting eco-friendly solid waste management systems such as composting and waste-to-energy technologies.
Promoting energy-efficient building codes and green certification for infrastructure.
