- Administer RHEL Linux and IBM AIX servers.
- Perform OS installation, configuration, upgrades, patching and troubleshooting.
- Robust knowledge of AIX LVM — PV, VG, LV, filesystem management.
- Work with LPAR, DLPAR, HMC and VIOS environments.
- Basic/working knowledge of HACMP / PowerHA clustering.
- Perform AIX TL/SP updates, APAR and eFix installation.
- Linux package management, filesystem and disk administration.
- Monitor performance using vmstat, iostat, sar, topas, nmon and netstat.
- Generate and analyze NMON reports and perform performance tuning.
- Handle incidents, service requests, problems and changes according to SLA.
- Perform capacity planning and resource allocation.
- Troubleshoot OS, filesystem, networking and user-access issues.
- Experience with Shell/Bash scripting; Python/Ansible is an advantage.
- Participate in 24×7/on-call production support.
- Work with application, storage, backup and network teams.
- Maintain security compliance and implement OS security patches.
