Job Description: Area Head - Gold Loan

Location: Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh
Department: Gold Loan Business
Reporting To: Regional Head / State Head - Gold Loan

Job Summary

The Area Head - Gold Loan will be responsible for driving business growth, profitability, portfolio quality, and operational excellence across the assigned territory. The role involves managing multiple Gold Loan branches, leading Branch Managers and field teams, ensuring compliance with company policies, and delivering customer-centric solutions to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Business Growth & Revenue Management

- Drive Gold Loan business across assigned branches in Tirupati and surrounding markets.
- Achieve branch-wise disbursement, revenue, portfolio, and profitability targets.
- Develop and execute local market strategies to increase customer acquisition and market penetration.
- Identify new business opportunities and expansion potential within the territory.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and customer preferences to enhance market share.

Team Management

- Lead, mentor, and develop Branch Managers and branch staff across the region.
- Ensure adequate manpower availability and productivity across branches.
- Conduct regular branch reviews and performance discussions.
- Drive employee engagement, training, and capability-building initiatives.
- Foster a high-performance and customer-focused culture within the team.

Portfolio & Risk Management

- Ensure healthy portfolio growth while maintaining asset quality.
- Monitor overdue accounts, auction cases,



and portfolio delinquency.
- Implement collection and recovery strategies to control NPA levels.
- Ensure proper appraisal, valuation, storage, and release of pledged gold as per policy.
- Minimize fraud risks through regular monitoring and process adherence.

Operations & Compliance

- Ensure adherence to RBI regulations, internal policies, audit requirements, and operational guidelines.
- Conduct regular branch visits to review operational controls and compliance standards.
- Drive resolution of audit observations and ensure timely closure.
- Monitor customer service standards and grievance resolution mechanisms.
- Maintain process discipline and operational efficiency across branches.

Relationship Management

- Build strong relationships with customers, local influencers, and business associates.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Credit, Operations, Risk, HR, and Finance.
- Strengthen the company's brand presence within the assigned geography.
- Support marketing and promotional initiatives to drive business growth.

MIS & Reporting

- Track business performance through regular MIS reviews.
- Prepare business forecasts and action plans to achieve targets.




- Present branch performance reviews and market insights to senior management.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of business metrics.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education

- Graduate in any discipline.
- MBA or Post-Graduation preferred.

Experience

- 7 to 12 years of experience in Gold Loan, NBFC, Banking, or Financial Services.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in managing multiple branches/territories.
- Strong exposure to Gold Loan operations and business development.

Preferred Location: Candidates with solid market knowledge of Tirupati and Andhra Pradesh Gold Loan business ecosystem will be preferred.
