Job Description: Associate Area Head - Gold Loan

Job Summary

The Associate Area Head - Gold Loan will support the Area Head in driving business growth, portfolio expansion, operational excellence, and team performance across the assigned territory. The role involves overseeing branch operations, managing branch teams, ensuring compliance with policies, and driving customer acquisition and retention to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Portfolio Growth

- Support the achievement of branch-wise Gold Loan disbursement, revenue, and portfolio targets.
- Drive business acquisition through local market activities, customer engagement, and lead generation initiatives.
- Identify business opportunities and expansion prospects within the territory.
- Monitor branch productivity and implement action plans to improve performance.
- Track competitor activities and market trends to strengthen business growth.

Branch & Team Management

- Supervise and support Branch Managers and branch teams across assigned locations.
- Ensure manpower availability and optimum utilization of resources.
- Conduct regular branch visits and business reviews.
- Coach and mentor teams to enhance productivity and customer service standards.
- Drive employee engagement and support training and development initiatives.

Portfolio Quality & Risk Management

- Monitor portfolio health and ensure adherence to risk management practices.
- Track overdue accounts and support collection efforts to ensure portfolio quality.




- Ensure proper appraisal, valuation, storage, and release of pledged gold as per company guidelines.
- Assist in minimizing fraud risks through process monitoring and branch audits.
- Work closely with branches to reduce delinquency and auction cases.

Operations & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor operational processes and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Promote adherence to internal controls and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure high levels of customer service and grievance resolution.
- Maintain operational efficiency across branches.

Stakeholder & Relationship Management

- Build strong relationships with customers, local business communities, and market influencers.
- Coordinate with Credit, Operations, Risk, HR, and other support functions to drive business results.
- Support local marketing and promotional activities to improve brand visibility.
- Assist in resolving branch-level escalations and customer concerns.

MIS & Reporting

- Track business performance through branch MIS reports.
- Analyze business trends and provide insights for improving branch performance.




- Prepare periodic reports and updates for review by the Area Head and management team.
- Monitor key business and operational metrics across the territory.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education

- Graduate in any discipline.
- MBA or Post-Graduation preferred.

Experience

- 5 to 8 years of experience in Gold Loan, NBFC, Banking, or Financial Services.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in branch management or multi-branch supervision.
- Strong knowledge of Gold Loan operations and customer acquisition.

- Branch Managers, Assistant Branch Managers, Customer Relationship Officers, and Branch Operations Staff across assigned branches within the Kadapa territory.

Preferred Candidate Profile: Candidates with solid knowledge of the Kadapa market and experience in managing Gold Loan business operations within Andhra Pradesh will be preferred.
