Job Description: About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Rebar Detailer to work remotely on rebar detailing projects based on US standards and project requirements.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in reinforcement detailing for USA-based projects/clientsand be capable of independently producing accurate, constructible, and standards-compliant rebar shop drawings and bar bending schedules.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare accurate rebar shop drawings, reinforcement drawings, and bar bending schedules based on structural and architectural drawings.

- Interpret structural drawings, specifications, design documents, and project requirements.

- Detail reinforcement including bar sizes, spacing, laps, anchorage, development lengths, bends, couplers, bar marks, and related requirements.

- Ensure all detailing complies with applicable US standards, codes, and client/project specifications.

- Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, constructability, and coordination.

- Identify discrepancies or missing information and raise technical queries/RFIs when required.

- Incorporate client/engineer comments and revisions accurately.

- Deliver project drawings within agreed timelines and quality requirements.

- Maintain clear communication with the project team throughout the assignment.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

- 3+ years of professional experience in rebar detailing.

- Strong hands-on experience working on USA-based rebar detailing projects/clients.

- Good practical knowledge of US rebar detailing standards, codes, and project specifications.





- Experience preparing reinforcement shop drawings and bar bending schedules.

- Strong ability to read and interpret structural drawings.

- Proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD, RebarCAD, CADS RC, Revit, Tekla, or equivalent rebar detailing software.

- Robust attention to detail and drawing accuracy.

- Ability to work independently and meet agreed project deadlines.

- Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Experience

- Experience working directly with US contractors, fabricators, engineers, or detailing companies.

- Experience with commercial, residential, industrial, infrastructure, or other US construction projects.

- Experience handling revisions, RFIs, and client/engineer comments independently.

- Familiarity with project-specific detailing standards and fabrication requirements.

Important Requirement

US standards and USA project experience are mandatory.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate practical, hands-on experience in USA rebar detailing projects, rather than only theoretical knowledge of US standards.
