Job Responsibilities –

Assess emotional and mental well-being of residents

- Provide counseling and therapy to individuals dealing with trauma, neglect, abuse, or abandonment

- Create supportive, trust-based relationships with residents

- Conduct group sessions to improve emotional resilience, self-esteem, and social skills

- Develop personalized care plans in coordination with social workers and caregivers

- Address behavioral issues and support conflict resolution

- Maintain confidential psychological records and progress notes

- Offer guidance to staff on handling residents’ emotional needs

- Conduct mental health awareness and life skills sessions

Requirements

Skills Required

- Deep empathy and cultural sensitivity

- Experience working with vulnerable or marginalized populations

- Strong counseling and crisis intervention skills

- Valuable communication in Malayalam and basic English

- Ability to work in emotionally challenging environments

- Team collaboration with social workers, nurses, and support staff
