Roles & Responsibilities

- Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the hospital pharmacy.
- Ensure accurate and timely dispensing of medicines as per valid prescriptions.
- Maintain adequate stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of medicines.
- Monitor stock, expiry dates, batch numbers, and conduct regular stock reconciliation.
- Ensure proper storage and temperature maintenance of medicines, including cold-chain items.
- Coordinate with Purchase Department and approved vendors for medicine procurement.
- Supervise pharmacy staff, allocate duties, and monitor performance and discipline.
- Ensure accurate pharmacy billing, returns, and reconciliation with the Accounts Department.
- Maintain pharmacy records, registers, controlled-drug documentation, and audit requirements.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, medication safety standards, and applicable pharmacy regulations.
