Balladi Studios is looking for a creative Video Editor with positive cinematography skills to join our team in Bengaluru.
Editing will be a major part of the role, but we are looking for someone who understands filmmaking beyond the timeline. You should have a good understanding of cameras, composition, lighting, movement and visual storytelling, and be comfortable contributing to shoots when required.

The role will primarily involve video editing while also giving you opportunities to contribute to cinematography and production.
What We’re Looking For
Editing
- Strong understanding of editing, pacing and visual storytelling
- Ability to select strong shots and build engaging sequences
- Good sense of music, rhythm, transitions and sound design
- Ability to turn footage into polished, professional films
- Comfortable with Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro or equivalent
- Understanding of both short-form content and cinematic edits
Cinematography
- Good understanding of camera operation and exposure
- Composition and framing
- Lenses and focal lengths
- Lighting
- Camera movement
- Gimbals, tripods and handheld shooting
- Comfortable participating in shoots when required
Experience with Sony/Canon or equivalent professional mirrorless/cinema camera systems is preferred.
Having access to your own professional camera setup is an advantage, but not mandatory.

- Strong video-editing skills
- Good cinematography and shooting knowledge
- Strong portfolio or body of work
- Comfortable participating in productions and shoots
- Based in Bengaluru or willing to work in Bengaluru
Application Process

As part of our selection process, applicants will participate in the Balladi Studios Showreel Edit Challenge.
We will provide selected footage from Balladi Studios projects. Your task is to create a showreel using your own creative approach.
We want to see how you select shots, create rhythm, use music, build transitions and bring different visuals together into one strong edit.
The winning edit will also receive a cash prize.
Applicants who wish to move forward in the selection process will need to complete the Showreel Edit Challenge before the submission deadline.
