JOB DESCRIPTION – DESIGN DRAFTSMAN

Position: Design Draftsman

Experience: 1–2 Years

Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: Up to ₹25,000 per month, depending on experience and skills

Job Overview

Qualdow is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Design Draftsman with good practical knowledge of

AutoCAD and 2D drafting.

The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate drawings, layouts, and working drawings while

coordinating with the design, project, and site teams.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate 2D drawings and layouts using AutoCAD.

Prepare working, execution, and detailed drawings as per project requirements.

Read and understand architectural, structural, and service-related drawings.

Prepare plans, elevations, sections, details, and other required drawings.

Incorporate design changes and revisions accurately.

Take and incorporate site measurements when required.

Coordinate with designers, project supervisors, contractors, and site teams.

Ensure drawings are accurate, properly dimensioned, and as per project requirements.

Maintain proper records of drawings and revisions.

Prepare drawings for site execution and fabrication wherever required.





Assist the design/project team with drafting and documentation requirements.

Requirements

1–2 years of relevant experience as a Draftsman / AutoCAD Draftsman.

Strong practical knowledge of AutoCAD and 2D drafting.

Ability to read and understand technical drawings.

Good knowledge of dimensions, scales, layouts, and drawing standards.

Basic knowledge of MS Office / Excel preferred.

Knowledge of SketchUp, 3D software, Revit, or other design software will be an advantage.

Positive attention to detail and accuracy.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Willingness to visit project sites when required.

Responsible, punctual, and willing to learn.

Qualification

Diploma / ITI / Graduate in Civil, Architecture, Interior Design, Mechanical, or a related field

preferred.

Ideal Candidate

A detail-oriented and technically sound draftsman who can independently prepare accurate AutoCAD

drawings, understand site requirements, make revisions, and coordinate effectively with the project and

design teams.

Strong AutoCAD & 2D drafting skills are mandatory.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
