Job Description: Senior Accountant

Fitness & Wellness Industry

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee the financial operations of our gym business. You will manage multi-location revenue streams, subscription billing, membership deferrals, and payroll for fitness staff. This role ensures robust cash flow management, timely financial reporting, and strict regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage recurring subscription revenue recognition and membership billing reconciliations.

· Oversee accounts payable, gym vendor management, and multi-location utility expenses.

· Process monthly payroll, commissions for personal trainers, and class instructor payouts.

· Execute month-end and year-end closing processes, including balance sheet reconciliations.

· Prepare comprehensive monthly financial statements, P&L; reports, and cash flow forecasts.

· Monitor gym fixed assets, equipment depreciation schedules, and inventory tracking.





· Ensure compliance with GST & TDS Calculations and Filings

Required Skills & Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

· 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in retail, hospitality, or gym industries.

· Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho Books) and advanced MS Excel skills.

· Familiarity with gym management software (e.g., Mindbody, ABC Fitness, Zen Planner) is preferred.

· Understanding of recurring revenue models, deferred revenue, and multi-entity accounting.
