Website Revamp, Maintenance & SEO/AEO/GEO Specialist (Freelancer / Small Agency)

About the Role

We need a freelancer or small agency to redesign our website and then maintain it, while also handling SEO and the newer AI-search areas (AEO/GEO) so we show up well on Google and tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity.

What You'll Do

- Audit our current website and suggest a revamp plan
- Redesign key pages with a clean, modern, mobile-friendly UI
- Improve site speed, navigation, and Core Web Vitals
- Handle ongoing maintenance - CMS updates, plugins, security patches, backups
- Fix broken links, errors, and monitor uptime
- Do on-page and technical SEO - metadata, schema, sitemaps, internal linking
- Do keyword research and monthly SEO reporting
- Set up FAQ/HowTo schema for better answer-engine visibility (AEO)
- Optimize content so it gets picked up in AI-generated answers (GEO)
- Support integrations - CRM, forms, analytics, third-party tools
- Manage hosting, DNS, SSL, and basic deployment/version control (Git)





What We're Looking For - Technical

- Proven experience redesigning websites (please share portfolio/case studies)
- Strong hands-on skills in WordPress/Webflow (or relevant CMS)
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic PHP
- Solid SEO experience with real results (rankings/traffic growth)
- Familiarity with AEO/GEO, or strong interest in learning it
- Comfortable with tools like Google Search Console, GA, Ahrefs/SEMrush, Screaming Frog
- Understanding of website security basics (XSS, SQL injection, CSRF)
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently

Positive to Have

- Experience with schema markup / structured data
- Prior work optimizing for AI search or LLM-based discovery
- Copywriting skills for on-page content
- Experience with e-commerce or SaaS websites
