IT Business Analyst IV

We are seeking an experienced IT Functional Analyst – SAP FICO Finance Team Lead to join our IT Finance support organization. This role will provide hands-on SAP FICO functional support while also leading day-to-day Finance application support activities, coordinating team priorities, guiding analysts and partner resources, and ensuring high-quality service delivery across global Finance processes, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Banking, Electronic Bank Statements, Payment Processing, Fixed Assets, and related integrations.

The successful candidate will act as a trusted liaison between Finance business users, IT support teams, technical teams, and external partners. They will analyse incidents and service requests, identify root causes, document requirements, support configuration and testing, and help deliver reliable, scalable SAP Finance solutions aligned to global standards.

This is a hands-on support, delivery, and team leadership role suited to someone who can work independently, provide direction to the Finance support team, manage priorities across incidents and enhancements, engage stakeholders confidently, drive tickets and changes to closure, coordinate testing, document solutions clearly, and bring structure to ambiguous or fast-moving situations.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership, Governance, and Service Performance

Lead day-to-day Finance application support activities by coordinating work across internal analysts, technical teams, AMS/vendor partners, and business stakeholders.
Set clear priorities for incidents, service requests, enhancements, testing, and production support activities, ensuring alignment with business criticality and global Finance calendars.
Monitor support performance through SLA adherence, ticket ageing, backlog health, recurring incident trends, escalation status, and service quality indicators.
Drive operational discipline through regular ticket reviews, backlog governance, problem management, root-cause analysis, knowledge management, and continuous service improvement actions.
Provide coaching, guidance, and functional direction to Finance support team members, helping build capability, consistency, and accountability across the support model.
Communicate support status, risks, blockers, and improvement opportunities clearly to IT leadership, Finance stakeholders, and cross-functional partners.

Controls, Compliance, and Finance Close Support

Ensure SAP Finance support activities follow approved change management,



incident management, access control, documentation, and auditability requirements.
Support internal controls, SOX-related processes, segregation of duties awareness, audit requests, and evidence preparation in partnership with Finance, IT controls, and security teams.
Provide leadership during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end Finance close cycles by ensuring timely issue triage, escalation management, business communication, and production stability.
Assess risk and business impact for Finance changes, incidents, and enhancements, ensuring appropriate testing, approvals, deployment validation, and post-implementation support are completed.
Promote standardisation, control discipline, and sustainable solutions across global SAP Finance processes to reduce operational risk and recurring support demand.

SAP FICO Support and Solution Delivery

Provide functional support, troubleshooting, testing, and enhancement delivery for SAP Finance processes, with primary focus on:
Accounts Payable, vendor invoice processing, and payment processes
Accounts Receivable and customer accounting processes
Bank accounting, electronic bank statements, lockbox, and cash application support
Payment processing, automatic payment programme, and payment file generation
Bank master data and house bank configuration
Fixed Assets / Asset Accounting
General Ledger integration
Finance integration with Procurement, Materials Management, Treasury, and other SAP modules
Finance month-end and period-end support processes
Why do we need you ?

Essential Skills and Criteria

8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Finance support, SAP FICO solution delivery, or SAP Finance project implementation, including experience leading support teams, coordinating partner resources, or managing Finance support workstreams.
Strong hands-on experience in SAP FICO, with specific knowledge of:
Accounts Payable
Accounts Receivable
Vendor invoice processing
Payment processing
Automatic payment program
Bank accounting
House banks and bank master data
Electronic bank statements
Payment files and banking interfaces
Fixed Assets / Asset Accounting
General Ledger integration
Finance integration with Procurement and Materials Management
Experience supporting production SAP Finance operations, including incident management, service request fulfilment, enhancements, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
Experience managing service performance, including SLA tracking, backlog management, ticket ageing, recurring issue reduction, escalation handling, and continuous improvement reporting.
Working knowledge of Finance controls and compliance expectations, including change control, SOX/internal controls, segregation of duties awareness, audit support, and evidence preparation.
Ability to write clear functional specifications, configuration documentation, test scripts, knowledge articles, process documentation, and support playbooks.
Strong understanding of end-to-end finance business processes and how SAP Finance integrates with other business functions.
Ability to collaborate with both business stakeholders and technical teams to define solutions, clarify requirements, and resolve issues.
Experience supporting global teams and working across multiple time zones.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain SAP Finance concepts, solution options, trade-offs, risks, and impacts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated ability to facilitate meetings, drive action items, track status,



and coordinate project execution activities.
Proactive, organized, accountable, and comfortable working in situations where structure may need to be created.
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to go beyond assigned tasks to help the team deliver successful outcomes.
Experience with Agile, hybrid, or waterfall project delivery methods.

Working knowledge of ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms, including incident, service request, change, problem, and knowledge management processes
