Position: Dental Assistant

Reporting To: Dental Doctor / Department In-charge
Location: ARH Hospital, Chennai
Job Summary
The Dental Assistant will support the Dental Doctor during consultations and procedures, maintain dental instruments and equipment, ensure proper infection-control practices, and assist in providing quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Dental Doctor during dental examinations and procedures.
- Prepare the dental chair, instruments, materials, and treatment area before procedures.
- Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and maintain infection-control standards.
- Assist with patient positioning and provide basic patient support.
- Prepare and arrange dental materials and consumables as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the dental treatment area.
- Handle, clean, and maintain dental instruments and equipment properly.
- Maintain adequate stock of dental materials and inform the concerned person when supplies are low.
- Assist with patient records, treatment documentation, and other departmental paperwork.
- Follow hospital policies, SOPs, safety procedures, and NABH requirements.
- Dispose of biomedical waste according to hospital protocols.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other hospital departments when required.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Dental Doctor or Department In-charge.
Qualification
- Diploma / Certificate in Dental Assisting or a relevant healthcare qualification.
- Candidates with relevant hospital or dental clinic experience will be preferred.
- Freshers with suitable qualifications may also be considered.

Experience
0–2 years of relevant experience preferred.
