Lawrence & Co, Chartered Accountants, a well-established CA firm with over 30 years of professional experience in Chennai, is looking for a motivated and experienced Audit Associate with 2–3 years of relevant experience who can independently handle audit assignments and take responsibility for end-to-end execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Independently handle statutory, tax and internal audit assignments under the guidance of senior professionals.
- Plan and execute audit procedures based on the nature and requirements of the assignment.
- Examine books of accounts, ledgers, vouchers, invoices and supporting documents.
- Perform verification, reconciliations and analytical review of financial information.
- Prepare and maintain audit working papers and documentation.
- Assist in the preparation and finalisation of financial statements and audit reports.
- Identify accounting discrepancies, control weaknesses and areas requiring management attention.
- Coordinate directly with clients for information, explanations and supporting documents.




- Ensure timely completion of assignments and follow up on pending audit requirements.
- Independently handle GST, TDS and Income Tax-related audit and compliance matters, wherever required.
- Communicate audit observations and issues effectively to the senior team and clients.

Candidate Profile

- B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter with 2–3 years of relevant audit experience.
- Should have the ability to independently handle audit assignments from planning through completion.
- Positive practical knowledge of accounting and financial statements.
- Working knowledge of Tally / Tally Prime and MS Excel.
- Independently handle large GST, Income Tax and TDS compliances.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and client-handling skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Candidates with experience in a Chartered Accountancy firm will be preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Fresher

Pay: ₹180,000.00 - ₹240,000.00 per year
