Job Profile -
- Identify and source reliable suppliers for medical and non-medical materials
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable agreements
- Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues that may arise
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the hospital’s needs
- Monitor inventory levels and anticipate demand to ensure timely procurement
- Collaborate with various departments to understand their material requirements
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials
- Implement inventory control measures to prevent stockouts and overstock situations
- Conduct regular audits to reconcile physical inventory with system records
- Ensure that all procured materials meet quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with relevant departments to address and resolve quality issues
- Develop and manage the materials management budget
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
- Foster positive relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain
- Address and resolve any issues or disputes with vendors
- Supervise and lead the materials management team, providing guidance and support
- Conduct training sessions to enhance the skills of the team members
- Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices
- Ensure compliance with all procurement and inventory management policies
- Generate and analyze reports related to procurement, inventory levels, and material usage
- Provide regular updates to management on key performance indicators.
