Job Summary

ONUS Robotic Hospital is looking for a responsible and patient-focused Duty Medical Officer (DMO) to provide medical care, clinical monitoring, and emergency support for patients across the hospital. The DMO will coordinate with consultants, nursing staff, emergency teams, and other departments to ensure timely and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide medical assessment and initial management of patients admitted to the hospital.
- Attend to emergencies and clinical deterioration promptly.
- Conduct regular patient rounds and monitor vital signs, investigations, and treatment progress.
- Coordinate with consultants and specialty teams regarding patient management.
- Ensure timely implementation of doctors’ orders and treatment plans.
- Manage post-operative patients and identify early signs of complications.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, case sheets, and medical records.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their attendants regarding routine medical updates.
- Coordinate with nursing, ICU, OT, diagnostics, pharmacy, and other hospital departments.
- Ensure proper handover of patients and pending clinical issues between shifts.
- Follow hospital protocols, infection-control standards, patient-safety guidelines, and statutory requirements.
- Support smooth functioning of emergency and inpatient services.

Shift Flexibility





The candidate must be comfortable and willing to work in both Morning and Night shifts, depending on hospital requirements and the duty roster.

Morning / Day Shift: Patient rounds, admissions, consultant coordination, investigations, procedures, and routine inpatient management.

Night Shift: Emergency response, monitoring of admitted patients, handling clinical deterioration, night admissions, coordination with on-call consultants, and ensuring continuity of care.

Qualifications

- MBBS from a recognized medical college/university.
- Valid registration with the appropriate Medical Council.
- Freshers and experienced candidates may apply.
- Experience in a hospital/ICU/emergency setting will be an added advantage.
