Meitra Hospital is looking for an experienced Infection Control Nurse to support hospital-wide infection prevention and control practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in infection surveillance, audits, staff training, and implementation of infection control protocols.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor and implement infection prevention and control practices across the hospital.
- Conduct regular infection control rounds, audits, and surveillance activities.
- Monitor healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and maintain relevant records and reports.
- Ensure compliance with hospital infection control policies, protocols, and applicable standards.
- Monitor hand hygiene, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, biomedical waste management, sterilization, disinfection, and environmental hygiene.
- Assist in developing and implementing infection prevention and control guidelines and training programs.
- Conduct awareness and training sessions for healthcare staff.




- Identify infection control risks and coordinate with relevant departments for corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports.
- Support infection control committee activities and quality improvement initiatives.

Preferred Skills & Competencies

- B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing or relevant nursing qualification.
- 1–2 years of experience in Infection Control, Hospital Infection Control, Quality, or a similar healthcare role.
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices and healthcare-associated infection surveillance.
- Familiarity with hand hygiene, PPE, biomedical waste management, sterilization, and disinfection protocols.
- Solid analytical, observation, and documentation skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to conduct audits, identify gaps, and coordinate corrective actions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
- Infection Control certification is mandatory.
- Experience with JCI, NABH, or other healthcare accreditation standards will be an added advantage.
