Position: Aesthetic Doctor / Medical Aesthetic Physician

Department: Clinical / Aesthetics

Location: Chennai

Employment Type: Full-Time / Part time

Reports To: Founder / Medical Director

About the Role

Aglow is looking for a qualified and experienced Aesthetic Doctor to lead and perform medically appropriate aesthetic consultations and treatments while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety, ethics, clinical quality and client experience.

The doctor will play an important role in establishing Aglow as a trusted destination for Skin, Beauty & Wellness.

Key Responsibilities

1. Patient Consultation & Assessment

* Conduct detailed consultations and medical history assessments.

* Understand patients’ skin concerns, expectations and aesthetic goals.

* Perform appropriate clinical examination and skin assessment.

* Identify suitable treatment options based on individual requirements.

* Explain expected outcomes, limitations, risks and aftercare.

* Obtain appropriate informed consent before procedures.

* Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.

2. Aesthetic Treatments

Perform or supervise procedures within the doctor’s qualifications, training and applicable regulations, such as:

* Medical-grade chemical peels

* Skin rejuvenation treatments

* Acne and pigmentation management

* Scar management

* Medical facials / clinically supervised skin treatments

* Laser-based aesthetic procedures, where appropriately trained

* Hair and scalp-related aesthetic treatments, where qualified

* Injectables such as Botox or dermal fillers, if appropriately trained and authorised

* Other advanced aesthetic procedures approved by Aglow’s clinical protocols

Important: Procedures must be performed only within the doctor’s professional scope, qualifications, training and applicable regulations.

3. Treatment Planning





* Develop personalised treatment plans.

* Explain treatment frequency and expected results.

* Review patients during follow-up appointments.

* Modify treatment plans when clinically appropriate.

* Identify cases requiring referral to a dermatologist, plastic surgeon or other specialist.

4. Patient Safety & Clinical Standards

* Maintain strict infection-control and sterilisation standards.

* Follow approved clinical SOPs.

* Ensure appropriate emergency preparedness.

* Maintain proper consent and medical documentation.

* Monitor and appropriately manage adverse events or complications.

* Ensure safe handling and storage of medical products.

* Maintain patient confidentiality.

5. Team Supervision & Training

* Guide skin therapists and aesthetic therapists on treatments within their permitted scope.

* Train the team on appropriate pre- and post-treatment care.

* Ensure non-medical staff do not perform procedures outside their authorised scope.

* Work closely with the Outlet Manager to maintain smooth clinical operations.

* Conduct periodic clinical quality reviews.

6. Client Experience

* Provide professional, ethical and transparent consultations.

* Avoid unrealistic promises or guaranteed results.

* Build long-term patient relationships.

* Handle clinical concerns professionally.

* Support the team in delivering a premium Aglow experience.

7. Product & Treatment Recommendations

* Recommend skincare products based on individual patient requirements.

* Explain correct product usage and precautions.

* Ensure recommendations are clinically appropriate.





* Support the development of Aglow’s treatment protocols and skincare programmes.

Qualifications

* MBBS from a recognised medical institution.

* Valid registration with the appropriate medical regulatory authority.

* Additional qualification/certification in Aesthetic Medicine, Dermatology, Cosmetology or related aesthetic procedures preferred.

* Relevant hands-on experience in aesthetic medicine or dermatology preferred.

Experience

Preferred: 2–5 years of experience in:

* Aesthetic clinics

* Dermatology clinics

* Medical cosmetology

* Laser clinics

* Skin and hair clinics

Candidates with strong procedural training and appropriate certifications may also be considered.
