Team Overview:
The Seller Compliance team builds critical services enabling Amazon's $100B+ EU marketplace growth by solving complex regulatory challenges. We own the Pay-on-Behalf platform that currently protects $34.5B GMS across 17 regulations, serving 279K sellers and generating $5.8MM in operating profit.
What you'll own:
Design and implement key components of our next-gen compliance platform
Work with Principal Engineers on architectural decisions
Build scalable solutions handling millions of daily seller transactions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on compliance service integration
Current Technical Challenges:
Building real-time compliance fee calculation and charging systems
Designing multi-tenant architecture supporting 50+ regulations
Implementing automated compliance validation and reporting
Scaling systems to handle 3x growth in next 2 years

Basic Qualifications:
Java/Python proficiency
Distributed systems experience
3+ years of non-internship skilled software development experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred qualifications
3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
