Job Description
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to contribute to our Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and source control platforms. The role will provide thought leadership and hands-on execution for the IAM Team’s Terraform codebase and GitHub environment, ensuring application and infrastructure deployments are automated.
Core Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Terraform modules and configurations for the Azure cloud environment.
- Enforce IaC best practices, including module reusability, state management, and drift detection.
- Administer and optimize the GitHub organization, including repositories, branch protection rules, Actions workflows, access controls, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Partner with engineering and security teams to embed policy-as-code into the infrastructure delivery lifecycle, where applicable.
- Lead code reviews for infrastructure changes.
- Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual effort, improve deployment velocity, and increase system observability.
- Build Terraform deployment scripts to automate currently manual application deployments and configurations.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on Terraform experience in production environments, including remote state, workspaces, and provider management.
- Deep proficiency with GitHub administration and GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation.
- Solid command of Azure Cloud.
- Experience with secrets management tools such as Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, or similar.
- Solid scripting ability in Python, Bash, or similar.
- Strong GitHub Actions experience is highly preferred.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of the ISO 27001 compliance framework.
Additional Context
The resource will help move the organization toward more automated deployment designs. Many applications are currently deployed and configured manually, and automation is required. The primary repository and automation environment is GitHub, with GitHub Actions serving as the automation framework.
