The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing financial operations, statutory compliance, taxation, budgeting, reporting, cash flow management, and financial controls.
The role ensures accurate financial records, supports strategic decision-making, and maintains compliance with Indian and international accounting standards.
Core Responsibilities :
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Maintain accurate books of accounts.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage General Ledger and Trial Balance.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closure.
Taxation & Compliance
- Manage GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESIC, and statutory filings.
- Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants.
- Ensure compliance with Companies Act and applicable regulations.
Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Prepare annual budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor budget utilization and variance analysis.
- Provide financial insights to management.
Cash Flow & Treasury
- Monitor cash flow and working capital.
- Manage, support procurement/vendor payments and customer collections.
- Coordinate & support admin duties, banking transactions & reconciliations.
Internal Controls
- Develop financial controls and SOPs.
- Conduct financial audits and risk assessments.
- Improve accounting processes through automation.
