What will you do

- Lead and mentor a team of SDETs, providing technical guidance, career development opportunities, and fostering a culture of quality and innovation
- Define and execute the overall testing strategy, including test planning, test case design, test execution, and defect tracking.
- Develop and maintain robust automation frameworks using Selenium with TestNG and Cucumber to streamline testing processes.
- Leverage API automation tools like Postman or RestAssured to test API endpoints and ensure data integrity.
- Utilize SQL to effectively query and analyze database data to validate system behavior and identify potential issues.
- Collaborate with development teams, product owners, and business analysts to understand system requirements, identify potential testing scenarios, and provide early feedback.
- Implement and maintain Jenkins CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
- Actively participate in troubleshooting and debugging complex issues, providing innovative solutions and root cause analysis.
- Derive and analyze key QA metrics to measure team performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Prepare and present comprehensive test reports to management, highlighting key findings, risks, and recommendations.
- Review and approve test cases and test documentation to ensure quality and consistency.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and technologies to drive continuous improvement.




- Foster a culture of quality and test-driven development within the team.

What skills required

- 7-10 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on API and UI testing.
- Strong proficiency in Java programming language.
- In-depth understanding of testing methodologies, including black-box, white-box, and gray-box testing.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium, TestNG, and Cucumber for automation testing.
- Proficiency in API automation using tools like Postman or RestAssured .
- Strong SQL skills for data validation and query analysis.
- Experience with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Robust leadership and mentoring skills to guide and inspire the team.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience in the banking domain is a must.
- Hands-on experience with test management tools like Zephyr, TestRail, XRay , etc.
- Ability to derive QA metrics and generate insightful reports.
- Experience in defining test strategies and test plans.

Desired Skills :

- Experience with modern web testing frameworks like Playwright.
- Knowledge of static code analysis tools and mutation testing techniques.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools and techniques.
- Experience with cloud-based testing environments.
- Experience with reporting tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
