Technical Support Engineer – Fuel & Camera

Job Summary

We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer with a primary focus on Fuel Monitoring and Vehicle Camera/Video solutions. The candidate will handle technical troubleshooting, client support, device-level validation, and coordination with internal teams for issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities – Fuel & Camera

Troubleshoot fuel sensor, fuel level, fuel consumption, calibration, and fuel-related alerts.
Troubleshoot camera features including Live Streaming, Snapshot, Playback, Audio, Intercom, and Channel availability.
Perform basic device, wiring, power, SIM/network, and configuration checks.
Analyze device logs, commands, responses, and data to identify the root cause.
Validate data between device, server, API, database, and application.
Coordinate with Development, Backend, DevOps, QA, and device suppliers for complex issues.
Prepare clear RCA, troubleshooting steps, and resolution details for recurring/critical issues.
Provide technical support through tickets, email, calls, and remote access.





Secondary Responsibilities

Basic knowledge of SQL/database queries and validation.
Basic understanding of REST APIs and API responses.
Basic networking and Linux troubleshooting.
Support application configuration, updates, patches, and deployments when required.
Maintain proper ticket documentation and ensure SLA/response-time compliance.

Required Skills

1–3 years of experience in Technical/Application/Device Support.
Practical experience with GPS, IoT, Fleet Management, Telematics, Fuel Monitoring, or Vehicle Camera systems is preferred.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Positive understanding of hardware + software troubleshooting.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple technical teams.
Comfortable working in rotational/off-hour shifts when required.

Knowledge of JT/T 808, JT/T 1078, RTP, G.711A
