Job Purpose

Oversee and manage operations across all West Coast import ports (Kandla, Dahej, Tuna and Mundra) handling UltraTech's imported cargo.
Ensure effective monitoring of inventory, ageing, and vessel-wise quantity and quality reconciliations.
Drive timely evacuation of materials from ports while minimizing operational losses and ensuring productive cargo movement.

Job Context & Major Challenges

This role is responsible for end-to-end monitoring and governance of imported cargo at West Coast ports, including storage management, quantity and quality assurance, cargo ageing, vessel-wise reconciliations, transit loss monitoring, and timely evacuation. The position serves as a key coordination interface among ports, plants, inspection agencies, and logistics partners to ensure accurate inventory reporting, operational efficiency, and uninterrupted supply chain operations.

Major Challenges

Managing seamless communication and coordination among multiple stakeholders, including UltraTech plants, port operators, inspection agencies, and stevedoring partners,



to ensure timely information flow and alignment.
Ensuring adequate vessel-wise storage availability at ports while optimizing yard utilization and preventing operational bottlenecks.
Driving timely and accurate quantity and quality assessments through effective coordination with ports and inspection agencies, while preventing cargo contamination during storage, handling, and inter-carting operations.
Monitoring cargo ageing, inventory movements, and vessel-wise reconciliations to ensure accurate stock accounting and minimize operational variances.
Optimizing rake selection, loading efficiency, and rail evacuation planning to minimize dead freight, reduce transit losses, and ensure cost-effective movement of coal and petcoke to consuming units.
