At Burns & McDonnell India, you’ll have the chance to establish a thriving career within the Power global practice. We are seeking well-rounded and driven structural Engineer in the Mumbai Office. The Power Division focuses on power generating facilities which offer a wide range of design and project execution experiences. This position requires an experienced and competent individual capable of successfully solving difficult problems that require adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates engineering work independently.
Evaluates, selects, adapts, and modifies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Performs conventional engineering work involving various complex features.
Applies knowledge of engineering principles and practices in specialty and related areas.




Coordinates departmental and divisional project studies and report preparation.
Coordinates with equipment suppliers/vendors, project managers, and other engineering disciplines.
Works with modelers, designers, and detailers in the Mumbai office and various U.S. offices.
Performs routine and complex calculations and designs using computer-aided and manual design techniques.
Designs equipment foundations.
Performs structural steel design for pipe racks and other power plant structures.
Coordinates project design assignments and design teams.
Interprets complex engineering problems and develops appropriate solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering from accredited program.
Minimum 2-9 years of related experience.
Software proficiency includes RISA-3D, RISA Foundation, Ram Connection, STAAD.Pro, Navisworks and/or Smart Plant Review.
Excellent written & verbal communication, as well as strong analytical & prob
