Job Description
Driving Infinite Possibilities Within A Diversified, Global Organization
- Responsible for complete Warehousing and distribution for factories as well as 3PL Warehouses
- Work closely with India Logistics Leader to ensure global logistics strategies are in place.
- Set up goals and KPI for complete warehouse function and set up monitoring process.
- Set up robust warehouse practices and create safe working environment in all warehouses.
- Manage various warehouses across India and set up SLAs with all 3PL service providers.
- Monitor the performance of all service providers on monthly and quarterly basis.
- Develop action list to streamline the processes in order to avoid recurring issues.
- Coordinate with internal functions for proper tracking and availability of the material.
- Goods receiving, issuance to production and dispatches should be done as per set SOPs and within agreed
SLAs
- Closely work with customer service department for timely billing and dispatches, run healthy MOS for enhancing customer experience.
- Submit all MIS reports especially month closing reports on timely basis
- Develop HOS (LEAN) culture and practices within organization and share best practices with service providers
which will help to improve overall productivity
- Ensure proper documentation and record keeping as per statutory requirement and internal
organizational policies.
- Manage all transporters for shipment tracking and overall TAT as per SLA
- Ensure proper documentation and record keeping as per compliance
- Timely processing of transporters bills and other service providers bills as per agreed contract.
- Lead and prepare the development plan for the complete team, who are reporting this position.
- Ensure post shipment export documents are submitted to compliance team for availing export benefits like DBK etc.
- To work proactively/Co-ordinate with functions like, Buyers, operations, production, export, import,
Compliance, Finance. Drive improvements through regular MOS.
- Proactive support to Internal/Statutory/Excise and customs auditor
- Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs, or training or safety records
- Should conduct / lead departmental meetings, coaching, mentoring in time manner
- Should lead the departmental performance review, draw and drive actions for improvement
- Participation in CFT (Cross functional team) / others functions
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as
customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping
- Communicate shipment information to customers using transportation management, electronic logistics
marketplace, or electronic freight information systems, to improve efficiency, speed, or quality of
transportation services
- Direct inbound or outbound logistics operations, such as transportation or warehouse activities, safety
performance, or logistics quality management
- Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing,
shipping modes, product
volumes or mixes, or carriers
- Develop risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply in emergency scenarios
- Should take initiative in digitization of process.
- Ensure all compliances like IRN/EWB are done correctly in dispatches.
- Prompt investigation, solution and revert on customer concerns.
- Set up good processes to ensure smooth business without any dependency
- Create all MIS reports and ensure productivity monitoring Month on Month and Year on Year.
- 8+ years of experience in warehousing & Distribution
- Should be at least Graduate and any certification in Warehouse/SCM will be preferred.
- Should have worked in MNC culture with big warehouse networking
- Should be well versed with all Processes related to Warehouse and Supply Chain
- Should have good experience on managing and working with big team
- Knowledge on Routes in India, State boundaries and statutory requirement for material movement (EWB etc.)
- Knowledge of SAP/ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning)
- Good knowledge on packaging standards & Defect management
- Highly motivated, energetic, self-directed individual with good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Mature judgment and decision-making ability
- Must have ability to effectively communicate, written and verbal.
- Strong computer skills with Database & Proficient with MS Excel, Word & PowerPoint
- Good networking with Transporters, 3PL, FFD's and CHA's
- Knowledge of Exports and documentation
