We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager – Backend to lead a high-performing backend engineering organization in Bengaluru. This role combines technical leadership, people management, architecture, and product execution, with responsibility for building scalable APIs, services, and web technologies that support business-critical experiences.
The ideal candidate will be a strong hands-on technology leader who can guide a team of engineers and managers, drive engineering excellence, and translate business and product objectives into reliable, scalable technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a backend engineering organization comprising engineers and engineering managers.
Provide technical leadership for the design and development of scalable APIs, backend services, and web applications.
Architect technically robust, adaptable, highly available, and scalable solutions for large-scale systems.




Build, scale, and maintain microservices-based architectures.
Establish engineering best practices covering code quality, development standards, testing, debugging, performance, and optimization.
Remain hands-on when required and provide technical guidance on complex engineering challenges.
Lead and mentor engineering managers and individual contributors, creating clear career paths and development opportunities.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide continuous, constructive feedback.
Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement.
Work closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Designers, and other stakeholders to estimate, prioritize, plan, and deliver projects.
Partner with Business Development and Operations teams to deliver scalable and reliable technology solutions.
