Purpose of the role:
The incumbent will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA), Natural Resource Management (NRM), and farmer institution development initiatives under Tata Steel Foundation programs. The role focuses on improving farm productivity, climate resilience, farmer income enhancement,



and strengthening Farmer Producer Company through sustainable agriculture and government convergence.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct baseline surveys, resource mapping, and climate vulnerability assessments in project villages.
• Prepare village-level agriculture development plans and ensure annual implementation strategies.
• Promote sericulture value chain initiatives and nature based solutions.
• Promote Climate Smart Agriculture practices including integrated farming system , crop diversification, agroforestry, Agro-horticulture, INM, IPM, and organic/natural farming.
• Planning and implementation of soil and water management interventions.
• Organise farmers into FIGs, PGs, and FPOs, and support their governance and business development and capacity building of these institutions.
• Facilitate convergence with government schemes/program related to agriculture, horticulture, livestock, fisheries, irrigation, and renewable energies etc.
