About the Role
We are looking for a skilled .NET Developer with strong Visual Basic/VB.NET experience to join our development team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing, maintaining, debugging, and enhancing applications using the Microsoft .NET technology stack.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using VB.NET and the .NET Framework/.NET.
Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications based on business requirements.
Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following coding standards and best practices.
Develop and maintain Windows/Desktop and/or Web applications.
Work with SQL Server, including writing queries, stored procedures, functions, and database-related logic.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues and production defects.
Integrate applications with APIs, databases, and third-party systems.
Participate in code reviews, unit testing,
and application performance optimization.
Understand existing applications and perform enhancements and modifications as required.
Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and other developers to deliver projects on time.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to applications and development activities.
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience in Visual Basic / VB.NET.
Valuable knowledge of .NET Framework / .NET.
Proficiency in ASP.NET and/or Windows Forms/WPF.
Strong knowledge of C# will be an added advantage.
Good working knowledge of SQL Server and database concepts.
Experience with Web APIs/REST APIs.
Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
Good debugging and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
Valuable understanding of SDLC and software development best practices.
